Today, we sailed on
I spent a normal day, up at 5am sending my three teenagers off to school. Then, I greeted my six daycare children. I spent hours playing, cooking, and cleaning. For the afternoon was spent helping with homework mixed in with more cooking, cleaning, and playing. After I sent home my six daycare children it was time to do my own college homework, attend class, and clean some more. At 10pm, I final crashed into bed, tired and exhausted, wondering “I enjoy this day and life of chaos, why?” My husband gets into bed and quotes the captains log of Christopher Columbus, “today, we sailed on.” And I remember why; when we reach the new world… the real work begins.
